MODELS OF METONYMIC CONCEPTUALIZATION OF EVENT IN MODERN ENGLISH

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of metonymic conceptualization and representation of events in modern English. Two types of metonymic models of events are suggested. Models of each type are identified and illustrated. Linguistic mechanism of their expression is described.
