FRAME «VISUAL PERCEPTION»

Abstract: 
The research is devoted to the problem of semantics of the verbs of visual perception from cognitive view points. The verbs represent the frame VISUAL PERCEPTION that can be regarded as an organized structure consisting of definite components. These components can refer to either nodes or terminals («slots»). The nodes are always fixed components and the terminals must be filled by various meanings. The frame VISUAL PERCEPTION includes three nodes: Subject, Event and Object of visual perception and the terminals comprise Quality, Purpose, Reason and Manner. The frame has a flexible structure that predetermines the interaction of the nodes and terminals.
