Abstract:
The article deals with the study of the language role in forming the conceptual content of QUANTITY as one of the fundamental concepts in the human conceptual system. The authors make an attempt to describe the language means of quantity conceptualization in modern English analysing the meanings formed by language units of quantitative semantics in the utterance. Cognitive, linguistic mechanisms and additional linguistic factors are also in the focus of the study.
