Abstract:
An attempt is made to define linguistic units by physical and phenomenological properties of the body. Since meaning in real-time language is a response of the body to perturbations caused by internal and external signals it is expedient to generate it using abstractions which allow to instantiate arrays of actual senses. The role of the lexical prototype is discussed vis-à-vis other candidates for the status of the systemic meaning of a (polysemous) word.
