FUNCTIONS OF XENONYMS IN GUIDING THE PERCEPTION OF TEXTS OF SECONDARY CULTURAL ORIENTATION

Abstract:  The present paper is an attempt to answer the question of how xenonyms func-tion in text and what they introduce into it, given their formal complexity and semantic non-transparency. The analysis of texts of secondary cultural orientation reveals that apart from concept building function xenonyms also serve as deictic means, maintaining the text localization.
