ANTHROPOCENTRIC FACTOR IN THE STRUCTURE OF NARRATIVE DISCOURSE: THE POSITION OF THE AUTHOR

Abstract:  The paper deals with the role of anthropocentric factor in the structure of narra-tive discourse. The research carried out on the material of English fiction shows that the author converses with the reader. The author touches upon different problems that are not directly connected with the fictional reality of the story. Metadiscourse of the author helps the reader to understand motivation of characters’ actions and the idea of the story.
