Abstract: Sport jargon is actively replenished with borrowings from other discourses. The analysis of the empirical material makes it possible to conclude that there is an increase in the tendency of sport lexicon polydiscursiveness, which is caused by the dynamic nature of discourse practices; by globalization processes; by the growing number of social relationships and roles performed by linguistic personalities.
