LINGUSTIC MARKERS OF MANIPULATION FOR DESIGNING MANIPULATIVE TEXT EVALUATION TECHNOLOGY

Abstract:  The article concerned is to describe some results of the linguistic research aiming to design the computer technology evaluating the level of media text manipulative impact. The research is built on the data of media text corpus collected from American newspapers. All retrieved texts deal with the topic of political crisis in the Ukraine. In the paper we suggest six features that can be used as computable parameters for text evaluation: military terminology, Nazi vocabulary, «Soviet vocabulary», list of linguistic markers collected while an experiment with 20 respondents, precedent names, adjectives with antonymic prefixes anti- и pro-.
