THE ROLE OF MOTHER TONGUE IN ENTHNIC IDENTIFICATION

Abstract:  The article deals with the identity of Kazakhs residing in the territory of the Tyumen region. In modern conditions of ethnic groups outside their historical homeland there are objective prerequisites of alienation from the language, while retaining the original culture of the ethnic group. Such factors as the language environment can influence the ethnic identity of a person.
