ERGONYMY AS A MEAN OF SPACE CATEGORY VERBALIZATION

Abstract:  In this article theergonymyis considered as a mean of space category verbalization; the analysis is based on the material of names of medical institutions. It is concluded that the center of this category is in this case the conceptual domain «Place», which is represented by a large array of names. Also the conceptual domain «Human» is equally important according to the anthropocentric orientation of language.
