LEXICAL-PHRASEOLOGICAL REPRESENTATION OF SKIN COLOUR CONCEPT IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract:  The article focuses on lexical-phraseological representation of SKIN COLOUR concept as intercultural universal that is connected with the problem of language personality formation. The author distinguishes three segments of the concept: «natural skin colour»; «skin colour acquired as a result of diseases and emotions», «ethnic origin skin colour». Informative and connotative capacity of idioms in process of concept verbalization is underlined.
