REPRESENTATION TECHNICS OF FUNCTIONAL SEMANTICS OF COMMUNICATION TYPES

Author:  T. P. Tretyakova

Abstract:  The paper concerns theoretical aspects of communicative semantics in stereotypes as mental spaces reflecting communicative experience transferred into inherent knowledge. Functional semantics in communicative knowledge presentation techniques cover three major areas: 1) informational and psychological techniques concerning identification of communicative setting ( prototypes and frames); 2) discourse-analysis techniques covering coherent and cohesive aspect of the semantics through approach; 3) procedural and interpretive techniques connected with the accumulation of new meanings and new knowledge presentation codes. The analysis of stereotype utterances shows the integral character of the techniques discussed above.
