EXPERIMENTAL BASIS FOR COGNITIVE MODELING TECHNOLOGY IN LANGUAGE STUDIES (A CASE OF ENGLISH PHRASAL VERBS)

Abstract:  The report deals with experimental basis for cognitive technology of linguistic modeling. The discussion concerns the results of a pilot experiment which aimed at revealing the cognitive- verbal mechanism of probabilistic anticipation evolving on the basis of construction acquisition. The experiment was carried out on the platform of innovative computer lexical tutoring system «LINGUATORIUM» and focused on English phrasal verbs.
