WHAT DOES THE INFORMATION WARS SUCCESS DEPEND ON?

Author:  L.I. Grishaeva

Abstract:  The paper focuses on means and ways of discursive strategies realization, dominating in actual media space. External and internal factors of media texts the influence of which causes the processes of both generating and perceiving media texts are discussed. Parameters connected with peculiarities of collective and/or individual subject activity are deliberately factored out. A special approach is suggested according to which a media text is interpreted as a component of a larger communicative unit as a certain indefinite plurality from the quantitative and qualitative points of view. The latter is understood as a thematically, intentionally and macrostructurally organized complex. Each media text, realizing a particular communicative problem in such a complex, serves to reach one strategically significant communicative aim more or less consciously realized by a collective and/or individual subject. Such complexes exist quite a long time in media space of different character and prove to be communicatively more effective than a single media text.

Keywords:  social cognition, media discourse, media text, discursive strategies.
