PARALLELS IN THE PERCEPTION OF «THE SOUND PICTURE OF THE WORLD» REPRESENTED BY LANGUAGE MEANS

Abstract:  The article is devoted to the problem of representation of sound perception via comparative constructions. The analysis of Russian and English examples of figurative comparative constructions shows that they act as the variants of a particular sound effect, which a person can experience.
