FUNCTIONAL AND COGNITIVE TYPES OF NOMINATION IN THE RUSSIAN AND BASHKIR LANGUAGES

Abstract:  The article deals with the means of word-formation, complex words, words-univerbs, composite naming units, metaphorical and metonymical means and phraseological units taking part in functional and cognitive nomination. Functional and cognitive scientific paradigm actualizes the synthesis of two basic language functions: cognitive and communicative. The functional and cognitive approach which puts anthropocentrism principle into the forefront is based upon the categorization process and conceptualization of reality knowledge, on the one hand, and suggests the language analysis in terms of the verbal and cognitive activity, on the other hand.
