SEMANTICS OF FRENCH DERIVATIVES WITH BOUND BASE AND COGNITIVE REASONS FOR ITS DEVELOPMENT

Abstract:  The article analyzes French prefixal verbs which develop derivative meanings of high idiomaticity and have bound base in their structure. The author indicates the cognitive roots of the orientation of the development of this type of complex signs semantics. These roots are connected with the verbalization of the strong feature of the concept domain “Denial”.
