LINGUOCOGNITIVE MODELS OF THE TIME MOVEMENT IN THE ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract:  The article focuses on the peculiarities of the time movement in English and Russian and its cognitive modeling. Three types of linguocognitive models of time movement are scrutinized: the Complex Moving Time model, the Complex Moving Ego model and the Complex Temporal Se-quence model. The analysis reveals the dominating types and means of their language realization. The comparative analysis is carried out and groundings for the relative universal status of these linguocognitive models are given.
