COGNITIVE SCHEMATISATION “WITHIN / INWARDS”, “OUTSIDE / OUTWARDS” ON THE EXAMPLE OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS BELONGING TO THE SEMANTIC DOMAIN OF HEALTH

Abstract:  This article presents cognitive image schematization within / inwards, outside / outwards on the example of English phraseological units. The founders of this theory are M. Johnson and M. Lakoff. Orientation (spatial) metaphors were taken as the material for analysis belonging to the semantic domain of health. The article identifies the potential of conceptual spatial metaphors and their axiological effects, which involved in the formation of the sphere health for English native speakers.
