CATEGORY OF TEMPORALITY IN A GENERATIONAL DISCOURSE OF J. HERMAN

Abstract:  Category of temporality is a component of the sense and meaning of generational discourse understood as a special type of artistic expression, in which the main emphasis is on the experience of time characteristic of a certain generation. Generational discourse in the story of contemporary writer J. German is a complex imagery structure, which is based on a combination of time of narration and narrative time. Juxtaposition of different layers of time makes stereoscopic narrative, gives it semantic depth, reflects the inner conflicts of the characters and the author.
