Abstract: The paper focuses on a new approach to the modelling of the biblical worldview implying the use of IT technologies (corpora of biblical texts, special programs enabling to read and analyse Bible source texts and translations). The method of lexico-contextual application and reapplication suggested by the author and based on the above mentioned technologies makes it possible to describe key words in biblical texts, find their equivalents in different versions and define linguo-cultural specificity of the verbalisation of biblical concepts in translations. Used in cognitive linguistics, the method is going to contribute to modelling the Bible worldview and its single fragments.
Keywords: IT technologies, Bible translations, source texts, equivalents, lexico-contextual application and reapplication
