THE INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE IN EVERYDAY DISCOURSE

Abstract:  The illocutive and perlocutive functions of the question can define the pragmatic aspect of the interrogative sentence. The mutual understanding of speakers is determined by the reference function of the interrogative sentence, deictic parameters of the speech situation and the representation of shared knowledge structure between the speaker and the hearer.
