PRAGMATICS OF STEREOTYPE PREFERENCE EXPRESSIONS

Abstract:  The article deals with cognitive linguistic analysis concerning utterances expressing preference as specific positive appraisals. Expressions of preference may be considered as orientation comments with speech stereotypes as specific codes. Cognitive interpretation of utterances is defined in terms of context pragmatics which allows defining the adaptation of existing codes for performing the stereotype scheme. Utterances expressing preference are the basis for creation argumentation schemes which can be presented argumentation components.
