COGNITIVE MODELING OF ENGLISH PHRASEOLOGICAL NEOLOGISMS

Abstract:  The report is concerned with cognitive modeling of phraseological meaning in terms of frame semantics and conceptual metaphor theory. The methods employed in the study make it possible not only to construe and describe idioms’ semantics but also to look into the mechanism of meaning generation in English phraseology.
