REFLEXIVE PLAY AS THE MEANS OF EXPRESSING LUDIC MODALITY IN METAFICTION

Abstract:  The presentation focuses on the investigation of Metafiction viewed as one of the narrative modes of postmodernist discourse, the emergence of which is determined by the author’s pragmatic intention of reflexive play. The reflexive play which presupposes the bifurcation of the cognitive subject into the “I modeling a possible world” and the “I commenting on the rules of fictional world construction” stipulates the expression of a special ludic mode of the textual modality.
