Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of features of the concept ‘business competition’ metaphorical representation in modern English-speaking business publicistic discourse. The role of conceptual (cognitive) metaphor is examined considered as a cognitive- communicative model with the aim of the most optimal representation of the certain concept from business and economy sphere in terms of business-publicistic discourse.
