COGNITIVE MODELING AS A METHOD OF SEMANTIC RECONSTRUCTION (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE FRENCH PREPOSITION À)

Abstract:  The report deals with the analysis of semantics of the French preposition à through a cognitive approach based on revelation of a cognitive model, which is understood as a schematic mental pattern. It is attempted to reconstruct the original sense of the French preposition à. This sense is associated with the concept “house”.
