Abstract: Knowledge varieties influence the discursive activity and type of discourse. The notion of multimodality imprinting the discursivity of knowledge is illustrated by means of the apparatus of cognitive linguistics. Methods of conceptual integration, cognitive metaphor, profiling, proposition and cognitive maps will be presented on concrete text examples serving the better understanding of mechanisms of conceptualization and categorization as well as spatial, social and cultural experience reflection of language individuality.
