Abstract:  The model of “the evolution of computational mind” promoted by S. Pinker is well known in the cognitive sciences. In this model the language is seen as an instinct developed in higher primates as a result of natural selection. In this paper we consider some linguistic and cognitive grounds for the radical nativism.

Keywords:  evolutionary psychology, adaptive mechanisms, faculty of language, nativism
