PROTOTYPES AS A MECHANISM OF CATEGORIZATION IN THE LANGUAGE PLAY OF CLASSROOM BILINGUALS

Abstract

The article observes the notion of language play in relation to the analysis of the speech of classroom bilinguals who are using the language knowledge in their lives and acquired the language in non-native language environment. The analysis is carried out with respect to defining the mechanism of categorization, or, to be more exact, the mechanism of prototypes (as the most typical examples of a category) whose variations are considered to be the examples of the language play.
