Abstract

The article presents some peculiarities of the conceptualization of memory by the speakers of different languages: English, Russian and Kabardian. The similarity of views and ideas about memory, motivated by the similarity of biological and social nature of a man is distorted by the effect of cultural background. It is manifested in different figurative representation of this invisible organ.
