CONCEPTUALIZATION BY ROMANTIC METAPHORS

Abstract: 

The article is devoted to romantic metaphors on the material of modern German language. Problem of the relation of language and conceptual levels in the process of creating a metaphorical imagery is analyzed. Using of the concept of romantic metaphor for wasps mentally metaphorical imagery characteristic of the romantic world-perception is proposed. Conceptualizing of the objects of the modern world through the romantic metaphor is discussed. Mechanism for creating a romantic im-agery lexical means using formative compositionality model is described.
