SYNONYMY IN THE METAPHORICAL TERMINOLOGY OF CRANIAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY AND DENTISTRY

Abstract:  In the article synonymy in the metaphorical terminology of cranial and maxillofacial surgery and dentistry is considered. Synonymic ranks are analyzed, the synonymy intensity is shown. The questions of classifications of synonymy are dwelt on. The concepts of variability and synonymy are differentiated. Full and partial synonyms are come to light. Various reasons of terminological synonymy formation are shown.
