TERMINOLOGY, CULTURE, AND EMPIRICAL COGNITIVISM

Abstract:  Sciences and arts arise in the framework of national cultures. Internationalization of the expressive means used in scientific communities demonstrates the tendency of national cultures towards the future civilization in which cultural dependencies look like realizations of cultural universals. Linguistically relevant concepts, such as BEAUTY, LANGUAGE, etc. belonging to this universal conceptual background are emergent concepts which may be reconstructed on the basis of large text corpora by methods resembling sociological analysis.
