REVISITING THE CLASSIFICATION OF TYPES OF MENTAL PROJECTIONS

Abstract: 

In the paper the problem of classifying types of mental projections is considered. Artistic-aesthetic knowledge is formed in the interaction of objects belonging to the different ontologies (ontology of the world, ontology of the human consciousness, ontology of the language). A hypothesis is brought forward that this interaction is of a projective character. Correlation between the type of projection and cognitive mechanisms of sense formation (metaphor, metonymy, symbol) is considered too.
