Abstract: 
The report examined the cognitive-pragmatic model of the epistolary discourse. All elements of the epistolary discourse reflected in the model, are interrelated. Study of the epistolary discourse with the positions of cognitive-pragmatic approach enables to approach the mysteries of speech and thought.
