Abstract:
Discoursive characteristics of English manuals titles are determined by combination of advertising and educational components. Advertising text of titles aims at influencing audience, using tools that most effectively appeal to the fragments of cognitive consciousness. Analysis of the English manuals titles in terms of concepts allows to identify ideological postulates implemented by the manual text.
