Abstract:
The study applies the theories of cognitive linguistics to harmonization of terminology of higher education used in Russia and English-speaking countries of the European Union. It examines the process of interlingual borrowings; lacunas in terminology of Russian higher education which is facing the reformation in the era of integration of educational systems.
