“HAPPINESS” AS A VERBALIZER OF THE GOVERNMENT REGULATION INSTRUMENT

Abstract
The article views the national specificity of the concept “government regulation” by the example of the word “happiness” as a means of verbalization for the slot “regulation instruments”. The article describes the extralinguistic factors that have led to the emergence of the terms “happynomics” and “the gross national happiness index”. Besides, the author establishes the fact of increasing interest of economists in happiness as a phenomenon, which generates new nominations in the language of economics: happiness economics, Happy Planet Index, Satisfaction with Life Index and others.
