Abstract:
The article holds that from the phenomenological point of view and the theory of conceptual metonymy temporality constitutes a real experience. Cognition is temporal at base, and opposition of primary and secondary concepts is in many respects a convention. Conceptualization of time is much dependent on the two body directions or axes: the front/back axis and the bottom/up axis. As a rule, the left/right body axis is ignored in temporal cognition research.
