MENTAL REPRESENTATIONS AND LINGUISTIC STRUCTURES IN ONOMASTICS

Abstract: 
The correlation of mental representations and linguistic structures is observed in Russian and British onomastics. Universal and specific for each languages models of nomination are revealed. The cognitive aspects of onymastics and the ways of nomination are presented.
