COGNITIVE ASPECTS OF DERIVATIONAL SEMANTIC PROCESSES

Abstract: 
The paper analyses French polysemantic derivatives and reveals regulations as well as cognitive causes of changes in correlations of word-formative semantic parameters, such as word-formative division, motivation, idiomaticity, word-formative and lexical meaning in derivative sememes of complex signs. The article clаimes that the prototype polysemy development patterns are largely determinted by compositionality of the complex sign and particularities of concept’s components.
