THEMATIC CONCEPTUAL DOMAINS OF THE LINGUISTIC WORLD IMAGE AND THEIR INTERPRETING FUNCTION

Abstract: 
The article discusses the interpreting role of the linguistic world image and of thematic conceptual domains as its main structural elements. Thematic conceptual domains are analysed in their basic functions as cognitive schemata for world perception and means of world knowledge interpretation. Their inner structure and interdomain relationship are also discussed.
