THE IMPACT OF COGNITIVE DISCURSIVE PARADIGM ON THE THEORY OF PRAGMATICS

Abstract: 
The paper demonstrates the impact of cognitive linguistics and discourse studies on the theory of pragmatics. The key concept of pragmatics «contexts» is analyzed in relation to discourse and mental models. The paper argues that context is a multidimensional and dynamic entity construed on-line as interpersonal discourse unfolds.
