EPITHET AND METAPHOR IN THE CONTEXT OF THREE ASPECTS OF LINGUISTIC PROCESSING OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE LANGUAGE

Abstract: 
The article considers the possibility of the cognitive study of epithet and metaphor as units of the poetic language from the perspective of three aspects of linguistic processing of knowledge in the language. The term «artistic interpretation» is emphasized and different classifications are compared. As exemplified in epithet and metaphor it is argued that the units of poetic language have different interpretative potential.
