SOME PECULIARITIES OF PUN IN PUBLIC SPEECH

Abstract: 
In the article the author examines such linguistic phenomenon as pun that is functioning in the sphere of public speech. Here the main peculiarities of pun as a sign are determined; the examples from both oral and written public speech are given.
