Abstract:
The article describes the conceptualization of human image in the minds of the authors of English Nursery Rhymes, folk verses by systematizing the occurrences of lexemes (nouns). Systematization and analysis were carried out by means of thesaurus method. For the formation of the thesaurus 400 poem texts were analyzed. The total number of lexemes in the thesaurus is 1 000 units. The analysis of the thesaurus classification scheme shows the central position of the descriptive article People indicating the anthropocentric character and central position of a human image in these folk verses.
