Abstract:
The article deals with the conceptualization of physiological sensations in the Portuguese language as states or actions. However the names of physiological sensations can denote other meanings such as emotional sensations and human states. The meaning of the form of number is influenced by conceptualization of the sensations described. The plural forms express the additional meanings of intensity, temporal duration and big quantity. In Russian the names of physiological sensations Singularia tantum do not change their number.
