METAPHORICAL NOMINATION AS A PRECEDENT UNIT

Abstract: 
The article deals with the nominative aspect of the lexical metaphor from the point to view of the theory of the precedent. The author gives a review of the cognitive mechanisms and the linguistic basis of the functioning of the lexical metaphor as a precedent unit of the language, its role in the realization of the lexical and epistemic values of the precedent.
