COLOUR NOMINATION IN INTERNET DISCOURSE: VANTAGE THEORY PERSPECTIVE

Abstract: 
The application of Vantage Theory reveals that the basic colour terms name the dominant vantage, resting on the similarity of colour features to the category focus, while derivative terms indicate the recessive vantage underscoring differences in colour characteristics.
